Blessing of the Dory Fleet

At the annual Blessing of the Fleet, local clergymen bless both new and old dory boats for safety at sea, and offer prayers for all the dorymen. Families and captains of the dory fleet have the opportunity to remember the people who died at sea and start the upcoming season by saying a prayer to bless the fleet. Dory boat captains will bring their boats starting at 11am.
